Music has been central since school. Growing up in Bristol in the eighties, passing around mixtapes from the Wild Bunch and FBI crews, buying records before affordability allowed. It was never a hobby. Just what he did.
His early career included residencies at The Dojo Bar on Park Street, The Square Bar in Clifton, and the longest-running Hip Hop, Funk, R&B and Soul night at Dojo's nightclub. He won DJ competitions, worked with recording artists, and hosted his own radio show. Guest appearances followed at Blue Mountain, Cafe Blue, The Thekla, Square Club, Pata Negra, and Poo Na-Na, sharing booths with Jazzie B (Soul II Soul), Snowboy, Jody Wisternoff from Way Out West, and Daddy G from Massive Attack.

Weddings weren't originally planned. A friend's request led to DJing the wedding of James Redmond (Hollyoaks), and what happened that night changed the approach entirely. It had club energy rather than formulaic disco structure. Proof that a wedding done right is just a really good party.
That's the lens everything gets viewed through. Before every event, Marcus has a proper conversation about what the night should feel like, not just what songs to play. On the night, he reads the room and responds dynamically. No pre-loaded set. No autopilot.
